15-Minute City

Urban-planning model of walkable urban village. The 15-minute city (FMC or 15mC)[1][2] is an urban planning concept in which most daily necessities and services, such as work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure can be easily reached by 15-minute's walking or bicycle riding from any point in the city.[3] This approach aims to reduce car dependency, promote healthy and sustainable living, and improve wellbeing and quality of life for city dwellers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/15-minute_city cf neighborhood, Community Of 7000... at population density of 21k/sqmi, a 1-mile city would have 21k people.

So you shouldn't say "city X is a 15-minute city", that might just mean it contains 1 15min city within it. So it would be good if you could list/place all "15-minute cities" everywhere, then

  • count how many of them are in a "city"
  • what % of the "city" population is within a "15-minute city"
  • the WalkScore folks calculate overall walkability for all US/Canada cities over 200k city size
