Hunter S Thompson

Gonzo Journalism wildman

I especially loved FearAndLoathingInLasVegas and The Great Shark Hunt and Fear And Loathing On The Campaign Trail

I think the first thing I read was his piece about the Kentucky Derby.

Tribute by his son Juan from 1996. He is both a madman and southern gentleman, a prophet and a hooligan, an idealist and a cynic. He thrives on disruption, unpredictability and thwarting expectation, yet is bound to social conventions.
